One great advantage of living in a Village is the amenities offered.  When it snows here, the streets in Floral Park Village are plowed!  Two years ago, we had an especially harsh winter with several blizzards.  The Village of Floral Park was out plowing and sanding the streets immediately.  You could go to the Queens line and know exactly where the Village ended and Queens began.  The Village streets were plowed; the streets in Floral Park Queens were a mess for days!  This may not seem that important to some people, but when we get a foot of snow that sits on the ground for a week - this is very important.  Just another one of the benefits of living in a Village!
