The latest home sales - You should receive reports on the recent real estate sales in your neighborhood from your agent. You'll need to learn data like how long a house stays on the market and seller discounts.

History of appreciation - In the last 5-10 years, have house prices risen or declined? Does location or affordability affect how desirable the area is thought of as?

Economic factors - Have businesses moved into or away from an area? Are local businesses hiring? Is there a good mix of business in an area, or does it rely upon just one industry? Each of these elements plays a role.
